This edition has fantastic sepia-toned photos by
Adelaide Hanscom. Among the people posing for the photos are Joaquin Miller,
George Sterling, and George W. James. Several different editions were done
(including 1905, 1908, 1912, 1914, and probably several others) with Hansom's illustrations. This is
one of the
best and largest (about 8" x 10").
